After eleven years, Warrant (Germany) return with a brand-new studio album: The Speed of Metal, out this year via Massacre Records. Formed in 1983, the band made their mark with the cult classics First Strike (1984) and The Enforcer (1985), and now proudly reconnects with their roots as a true Speed Heavy Metal band. The songs were written within a year, with longtime guitarist Michael Dietz contributing riffs and ideas. Alongside fresh material, the album features a re-recorded 1988 track, It’s Up to You, and a cover of The Sweet’s Windy City – a passion project and longtime dream for the band. With Adrian Weiss joining as second guitarist, Warrant return to their classic four-piece setup, delivering high-energy, uncompromising metal tracks that capture the spirit of the ’80s and bring it to today.
