Sentient Ruin is proud to present this stunning limited edition 12" vinyl compilation featuring all tracks from 6th Circle’s first two cassette releases. Released in quick succession in 2018, the “Pacified” and “Conjuring” cassette EPs showcased the remarkable depth and vision of 6th Circle, marking the emergence of one of America's most exciting new post-industrial acts. These two releases introduced multi-instrumentalist and mastermind Matt Auxier, who distilled years of concepts into eleven jagged tracks of anarchist and satanist post-industrial insurrectionism. The music explores deviant electronic dance, dark film soundtracks, and the most extreme edges of punk, goth, and darkwave in their most confrontational forms, channeling the golden era of the genre first conceptualized in the late 80s and early 90s, with influences from iconic acts like Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly.
The eleven original tracks demonstrate 6th Circle's ability to push the genre's boundaries, reimagining the style and creating a collision of past and present electronic industrial sounds. This results in an abrasive and pitch-black synthesis of infectious beats, scathing vocals, apocalyptic atmospheres, and hypnotic distorted soundscapes that perfectly embody the archetypal post-industrial sonic dystopia.
The long sold-out debut cassette EP “Pacified” was originally released in 2018 by the underground extreme metal label Knife Vision, while the follow-up cassette EP “Conjuring,” which emerged later that same year, was released by notorious underground noise labels Phage Tapes and Squall Recordings. With this meticulously crafted LP retrospective, all tracks released by 6th Circle leading up to its 2019 Sentient Ruin debut album “The Third Estate” finally make their vinyl debut, remixed and remastered by Matt Auxier himself to achieve their most abrasive and punishing form yet.
