Hardbone - Hardbeat - LP COLORED

According to the band themselves, Hardbeat is their strongest release to date - both in terms of production and songwriting, as well as performance. Even if that sounds a bit cliché (as it‘s a claim often made when promoting a new record), in this case, it’s primarily due to a new dynamic sparked by their latest addition on guitar: Luca Rosnau. He replaced Tom Lindemann in 2024 and integrated seamlessly, having already been part of the road crew before. Luca also brought fresh impulses to the songwriting for Hardbeat, which, combined with the work of main songwriters and founding members Sebastian Kranke (guitar) and Tim Dammann (vocals), resulted in a very versatile album.

It’s all there, from ultra-heavy blues and upbeat shuffle to melancholic tones and high-speed rockers. For the band, the record feels fresh yet familiar. The proven concept remains unchanged: reduction to the maximum - crisp riffs and a rhythm section tighter than a pair of XS briefs.
Regarding the recording process, they returned to the approach of their previous album „No Frills“. Once again, the tracks were recorded live together, perfectly capturing HARDBONE’s core strengths. The goal was for the record to sound honest and handmade, while simultaneously remaining uncompromising and punchy. Just like its predecessor, Eike Freese was largely responsible for this sound. The band highly values the pleasant yet equally demanding collaboration, and in the eyes of everyone involved, the result definitely speaks for itself!
The recording process was partly overshadowed by health issues within the band and their immediate circle, which ultimately played a role in naming the album. At the same time, the title also reflects the album‘s overall sound. All in all, HARDBONE is very proud of this new work, especially since the creation process wasn‘t always easy. After their last release dropped right in the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown, preventing it from reaching its full potential, the band was more determined than ever to prove themselves, and that energy is now audibly immortalized.
