Extravaganza is a Lithuanian four-piece which has a history dating back to 2010. Despite the longevity of the project, “Priepuoliai” (translated as “Seizures”) is the debut full length release and first since a single track in 2013. Stylistically, Extravaganza have a post-black metal sound which drips with melancholy and depression but they also explore alternate less travelled paths. With a combination of soul consuming music thick with cloudy atmosphere and chilling pain-filled vocals, “Priepuoliai” is a stark poignant collection of eight compositions which span more than 70 minutes. Featuring specially created art spread over a 10-page folding booklet, the minimalist designed CD is housed in a clear jewel case without a tray card creating a package as unique as the musical content found upon it.
