Over the course\r\nof the next nine years Zuwadzhi and Bartlett would include others into the fold of the project to share in their misery, playing a small\r\nhandful of select shows, and in that time welcome Patrick Crawford (guitar) and Brandon Pleshek (bass, synths) as permanent members,\r\nhelping to define what Cavernlight was always intended to be.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\r\nAfter the release of their demo tape, Corporeal (Anti-Matter Records, 2015), Cavernlight buckled down to write the material for As We Cup\r\nOur Hands..., finally deciding to share their introspection with others. That period of writing would evolve into 5 movements detailing a life\r\nthat is lived suffering through severe, crippling anxiety and the burden of mental illness. They discuss the arduous task of attempting to\r\nfind truth in the natural world and work through psychological roadblocks, and the realizations one has as they begin to come out the\r\nother side and attempt to heal. The Stream of Ache is the source for these songs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\r\nThe influences of Cavernlight are numerous and run deeply into different genres, but ultimately all of them have one thing in common…\r\npain and suffering prevail. Whether they be doom, black metal, noise, dark post-rock or even inspiration from beloved singer-songwriters\r\nthat have since been put to rest and whose sadness lives on eternally, each source of inspiration deals with a fundamental hurt. On this\r\ndebut full length Cavernlight have finally found a comfortable, mature balance between their influences, inspiration, and intended\r\nnarrative. Using these elements they have crafted an album of miserable doom laced with harsh tones and heart-piercing melodies. This is fascilitated by way of complete improvisation while performing and recording all material for Pandiscordian Necrogensis.\r\n\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\r\nOn OUTER SUPERNAL, the third Pandiscordian full-length, all music is performed live and improvised by Domignostika with the use of a bass drum, snare, and hi hat (all played by foot), guitar, and voice. The only exception being the use of synth for ambient tracks. The resulting music is a schizophrenic and diverse series of compositions that meld the raw minimalism of black metal, intensity of classic death metal, speed\/thrash guitar meanderings, or plodding doom. All of these styles are common deviations within the performances while somehow allowing each song to maintain its own sense of narrative, and it's all distilled through a distinct lo-fi black metal lens. There are no loop pedals, no backing tracks, and no samples used in any Pandiscordian recordings or performances. We think it's safe to state that the concept of improvised black metal where all instruments are played simultaneously can be solely attributed to Domignostika.\r\n\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\r\nPre-orders are available now for the LP edition of the album, the first pressing of which is limited to 300 copies. 150 copies pressed on black vinyl and available to the public, and 150 copies on clear gold vinyl - which is only available to Gilead Media Subscription Club members.
